INTEGRATED MERGE TOOL

The integrated merge tool lets you resolve any merge conflicts directly in Sublime Merge for Windows 11, 10, and 8. You won't need to open your editor. Conflicts appear in a 3-pane view. On the left are your changes, while the right shows their changes. The center pane displays the resolved text, with buttons to choose between your changes and theirs. You can use the same text editing features from Sublime Text for more complex merges.

In addition, clicking the header in the middle pane will switch between the editable merge results and the base file.

Use Ctrl+S or the Save button to save your merged file.

POWERFUL SEARCH

Use the find-as-you-type search to locate the exact commit you're after.

Search by commit messages, authors, file names, and wildcard patterns. You can create complex search queries using and, or, and () symbols.

For example, min-parents:2 author:jskinner path:tests/* (bug fix or test) will search for a merge commit from jskinner within the tests directory that includes the words “bug” and “fix” or the word test.

Open search with Ctrl+F or via the menu: Navigate Search.

The blame tool can also track when a piece of code was moved from another part of your repository, so you can fully follow your code's history.

ADVANCED DIFFS

When applicable, we will show you exactly which individual characters changed for a commit. This includes renaming or moving a file, resolving conflicts, or browsing commit history. Select any two commits in Sublime Merge with Ctrl+Left Mouse to view the differences between them.

FILE AND HUNK HISTORY

From any file or hunk in history, use… File History or the Hunk History button to access the complete history of that source code. This also tracks any file moves or renames throughout the repository.

COMMAND PALETTE AND KEY BINDINGS

We value keyboard use. Use Tab to navigate through parts of the application, Space to toggle expansion, and Enter to stage or unstage chunks. When writing a commit message, use Ctrl+Enter to commit. You can trigger the Command Palette with Ctrl+P for quick access to many Git commands and other Sublime Merge features.

LIGHT AND DARK THEMES

In Sublime download, choose between a light and dark theme based on your preference. You can preview these themes above. Open the Preferences… menu to change the theme. The dark theme is only available with a valid license key.

EXTENSIBILITY

Like Sublime Text, most aspects of Sublime Merge are customizable. You can adjust key bindings, menus, themes, and the command palette using simple JSON files.
