K-Lite Codec Pack 19.6.6

There are four different variants of the K-Lite Codec Pack 19.6.6 Free Download have been developed. The most range goes from the minimalistic package, having the most basic decoders, all the way up to a rather advanced one. The main differences in the types of the pack will be listed below. The codec packages are compatible with Windows 7/8.x/10/11. The old versions are also compatible with XP/Vista.

The packages support both 32-bit and 64-bit codecs; therefore, they run perfectly well on x86/x64 Windows!

Standard Option K-Lite Codec Pack

Mini, yet incredibly powerful tool for playback of audio and video files

This tool contains all the necessary components for playing all kinds of audio and video files.

K-Lite Codec Pack Full download supports playback of audio and video files, for example:

• AVI, MKV, MP4, FLV, MPEG, MOV, TS, M2TS, WMV, RM, RMVB, OGM, WebM

• MP3, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG, 3GP, AMR, APE, MKA, Opus, Wavpack, Musepack

• DVD and Blu-ray (after decryption)

• and many more audio and video files!

Also, offers plenty of other features such as:

• Playing back HDR video files

• Subtitles playback

• Using hardware decoding acceleration for video playback

• Bitstreaming audio files

• Generating thumbnails for video files and displaying them in Explorer

• Associating file extension to your favorite player

• Detecting broken decoders and many more!

This pack includes Media Player Classic Home Cinema (MPC-HC). It is an incredibly advanced player which offers great playback capabilities with lots of options and features. We recommend its use.

As mentioned before, the installation of this player is optional, like any other program inside this installer. Thus, you can install this codec pack using another DirectShow compatible player.

Same as Standard, plus:

• Plugin for 3D video decoding (H.264 MVC)

Note: this requires using MPC-HC with madVR, and also a compatible graphics driver. Recent NVIDIA drivers no longer support 3D video (but you could try "3D Fix Manager").

Basic Version

The Basic version of the Download K-Lite Codec Pack consists only of a few key DirectShow filters.

The Basic version of the codec pack lacks a media player.

You can install the package together with any other DirectShow player that you have already installed on your computer. Such as the ancient version of Windows Media Player.

You should remember that Windows 10/11 includes the new version of Windows Media Player, which no longer utilizes DirectShow and therefore is incompatible with the codec pack. In order to support a larger number of multimedia file formats, you must install Media Foundation codecs. By default, the operating system comes without any codecs supporting HEVC, VP9, and some other video formats.

In addation, K-Lite Codec Pack Windows 10, we highly recommend installing the Standard package and using its MPC-HC media player. This solution is far more efficient than Windows Media Player. It will play almost any content, unlike the latter, which can decode only a couple of audio and video formats.
